English £100 notes don't even exist. Scottish £100 notes are legal
tender there, but doubt anywhere much would accept them. Counterfeiting
is such a problem that many places (particularly in Northern England)
don't even accept £50 notes. When I went to the East Lancashire Railway
(steam and preserved diesel) I missed a train because they don't accept
£50s, and I had to find a shop that did!
