Hmm. If the current recovery is around 20% only the inroduction of hovering
anti grav dweezels will ever get the system to something near break even.
One of the consistent themes in railway commentary is that road transport is
given a subsidy in that its right of way is provided to commercial users at
less than fair cost due to the contribution by private motorists. On this
basis if a bus service loses so massively then trams will only waste more
money. Mind you, if it wasn't run by the government...
