Branches off the Newport lines between South Kensington and Footscray. I
think the first mention in this newsgroup of the line being used again was
back in September. IIRC, newsgroup follower Steve Bucton worked the first
train. Steve?

Current working is:

9527 Goods, Tu to Sa, West Tower 5.40, South Kensington 5.48*, Maribyrnong
River Terminal 6.05. (Off 9140 goods from Merbein, arr Dynon 5.20)

0528 Light Loco, Tu to Sa, Maribyrnong River Terminal 6.15, South
Kensington 6.22, West Tower 6.35-6.37, South Dynon Loco 6.45.

0527 Light Loco, M to F, South Dynon Loco 15.30, West Tower 15.35-15.37,
South Kensington 15.44*, Maribyrnong River Terminal 15.55.

9528 Goods, M to F, Marybyrnong River Terminal 16.45, South Kensington
16.52*, West Tower 17.00-17.30, Dynon 17.40 (connects to 9141
Superfreighter to Merbein, dep MFT 19.05. Loco off 9528 works 9141.)

I would assume the usual loco would be an X for all of the above workings.
Obviously the working of 9527 and 0528 as listed above would be
conditional on 9140 being on time.

I note the junction for the Maribyrnong River line is not mentioned in the
timetable. Is it worked from South Kensington?

Cheers
