Sure we need those contactless tickets. It is not unusual to see your
average MetCard monthly to wear out so quickly (by feeding it into some 5
or 6 different validators a day) that by the end of the first week you
can hardly see the small print expiry date at the back. Then of course
you'll be stopped by the Met Cops every time you get through the gates,
'cause they can't read it either.

Just out of curiousity, why does the yearly ticket have to come with a
photo ID card? And can we use a yearly ticket without the ID card at all?
