5 cars / 250 tonnes with 4000 HP loco , a mere 16 HP / tonne , equal to that
of the TGV, should make up some time.

On another issue , what is the status of the Riverland lines in SA, ie the
branch lines ex Tailem Bend.
I understood that prior to the AN sale that these lines were to be converted
to SG.
Has this happened .
Also does anyone know what trains ASR are actually running within SA, ie ,is
there any move to try and revitalise the SA rail industry.
I am particularly interested in whether ASR run any regular trains on the SG
line east of Adelaide,ie to Murray Bridge / Tailem Bend / Wolseley etc.

cheers
