I still think the best place for a camera like the 101 Collins St (ie
pan and tilt) is South Dynon Junction. Positioning the camera on top
of NR's "Fuel on the Hill" or perhaps on the signal gantry near the
bridge would enable visitors to view the Maribyrnong River bridge and
the entrance to the Bunbury Street tunnel as well as the line to North
Dynon, NR's MOT and look down towards Strangs Sidings and the line to
Appleton Dock. All the interstate SG freights and passes and a fair
number of BG freights arrive and depart past this point. Now if we
could then zoom the camera........

Sunshine is a shadow of its former self, seeing only sparks to St
Albans, mini XPTs to Sunbury and Bacchus Marsh, and a smattering of
Bendigo and Ballarat splinters and passes (quite a few trains, but no
great variety). "In the daze" when all Adelaide trains up and down
rolled through Sunshine, it certainly would have been the place to be.
