Re: "Day of the Roses" carriages



I think the disposal of the ex-SRA cars used in Day of the Roses (ie. 
Supplementary Interurbans & wooden country stock etc) pre-dated the great 
auctions of the mid to late-1990's. As per past postings on this subject 
many of the cars used in the mini-series came from WA where they were 
used behind Pendennis Castle, and many of these cars were disposed of in 
the late-1980's (many such cars also live in and around Menangle 
amongst the tall grass). 

To ascertain the carriage type, I think the best way anyone can assist is 
to post a J-Peg image of the car as the window arrangements varied from 
car to car, especially with the supplementary interurbans. The same 
applies to the underframe & undergear equipment (bogies, truss rods etc).
