Big problem as I see it, are the abbreviations used by
regular posters to this group.

Like NR and NR, sometimes means the owners NRC, and
sometimes the NR class loco's.

NSW fans with their train numbers which they may well
be very intimate with, but the rest of us would not
have a clue as to where it was going/coming from.!

How about a brief rundown on all the name changes for
the state and federal systems since the last century,
that would take a couple of pages.  Still a list of
present day owners, public/private would not go astray.

Of course all the signalling and safe working systems,
Nah, they would need FAQ's on their own.   ;)
