DOO operation in Victoria

Just reading in the latest Motive Power about the DOO in Victoria and the
remote control operations.

Can anyone tell me more about this.  We have DOO and remote control on the
locos here but there is a pack for mainline remotes in NZ for evaluation
purposes.  Interested to see if it is the same sort of thing
