Open closed V/line branches?

To reopen closed branches are more or less relates to the operator's
willingness of expands its business and serve its customs regardless of if
the line is dismantle or not. From where I came from New Zealand, Tranz Rail
(owner of Tasrail) already reopened some closed branches and relayed
dismantle branches, if not for Asian crisis, it would be work on the long
dismantle line from Picton to Nelson (about 50 km) and Taupo line (80 km) by
now. Its owner Wisconsin Central also reopened and relayed some closed
branches in the state, the same applies to EWS. Closer to home QR is happy to
buy back inch by inch and reconstruct Gold Coast Railway that dismantle long
ago, it might not be the same alignment at least the train is running and
business is expanding, the same applied to its coal lines. According to
Railway Digest Tasrail is planning to open closed lines and have you heard
West Rail closed any line lately? No doubts a line completely dismentel or
partially sold its right of way will be expansive to reconstruct. I guess
it's too late to bet on current V/line operator, that's hope new private
company have better vision.
