You are wrong, these locos are built to US standards and would require
extensive[read new bodies] modifications.Australian Engines for ML work are
restricted to 130 tonnes Gross or there abouts. The Engines , Alternators
fetch BIG money in the States and thus it would almost be cheaper to walk
away from a SD50, and build a new Aussie Engine. And that's what BHP did.
