Hi Mark and other news groupies.
After many weeks of server disruption, I am now back in the news loop.
Mark, the monument you refer to, is simply a large rock ( about 1m round
)
and is placed as near as practicable to the point of collision - about
10m from the SG main, at the level crossing ( the road name eludes me )
on the up side of Violet Town.
It has a nice simple brass commemorative plaque imbedded onto the rock,
presumably with the names of all the victims inscribed thereon. I
haven't seen it close up, just from the track, as I have zapped past on
various trains since it was placed there.
As for a photo of it, I have no idea where to look, but perhaps, one
day, if I am up that way for some reason ( most likely gunzelling ), I
will grab a pic or two.
