My map shows Nerang is inland from Surfers Paradise.
I travelled on the line (to Nerang) just a few weeks ago.
Trains run fast on that line, and the right of way has been prepared for
double track.
New EMU was very pleasant to travel on.
Nerang didn't look inviting from the station, so I returned immediately to
Brisbane!
When I have a few hours to spare I'll post my experiences on QR.
