InterCapital Daylight departed MEL about 8.30am, crossed the Overland
at Sunshine (allowing cross platform transfer of passengers from ADL
bound for SYD); as the Overdue was often late and this was a
guaranteed connection, one could often see the ID in Sunshine Loop
waiting for the Overland to arrive. The train consisted of NSW tuscan
coloured stock (sorry I don't know the exact carriage designations).
The southbound ID would arrive into MEL about 7 - 8.00pm
