Message-ID: <352B785C.D2F3A2A3@ozemail.com.au> Date: Wed, 08 Apr 1998 23:15:09 +1000 From: David Johnson <trainman@ozemail.com.au> Reply-To: trainman@ozemail.com.au X-Mailer: Mozilla 4.03 [en] (Win95; I) MIME-Version: 1.0 Newsgroups: aus.rail Subject: All to Penshurst Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit

I worked the 21:30 hrs Bondi Junction to Oatley service this evening. At Sydneham, the SPI was indicating Next Train: 9:48 Penshurst. The Stopping pattern listed all the stations as far as Penshurst. Then the announcement came over: The train on Platform number 6 goes to Penshurst. First stop Tempe, then Arncliffe, Banksia, Rockdale, then all stations to Hurstville, then Penshurst.

My question: How can they have possibly made this mistake??? It would have had to be manually entered into the computer for starters, and a quick check of the timetable would have shown it to be wrong.

Sigh.
