Well, many of the original Brisbane tram lines should never have been
closed.

The proposed network is no more than the re-opening of the inner-city
lines, apart from the excellent addition of a bridge to St Lucia.

Not all Brisbane tram routes were suitable for tram operation in today's
environment, but even in 1969, the council should have retained (and
extended) the trunk lines to Chermside, Mt Gravatt, Salisbury, Clayfield,
Belmont and Enoggera as well as the inner-city core. I hope some of the
trunk lines I cite will one day be re-opened to trams again.

It shouldn't cost much as the tracks are still there under the hotmix.
