The coal lines cross the North Coast Line at Yukan and go to Hay Point and
Dalrymple Bay terminals. The line serves a number of mines including Blair
Athol, Goonyella, North Goonyella, Riverside, Peak Downs, German Creek,
Saraji, Norwich Park, Oakey Creek, and a couple of new mines near
Coppabella.
The line is electrified all the way to Rockhampton but through the coal
lines, not the North Coast Line. There is a servicing depot at Jilalen near
Yukan.
Dalrymple Bay terminal is bottom dump wagons while Hay Point is tippler.
However, Hay Point is to be converted shortly to bottom dump as well.
