Finally, the "Australian Financial Review" on Wednesday 8/4/1998
carried a small article re Northern Territory rail link stating

"The short list of bidders for the construction of the $1.2 billion
Alice Springs to Darwin rail link is expected to be announced today
in Adelaide"
"It is understood that a consortium involving Theiss Contractors
and the Commonwealth bank is one of three groups on the short list.
Construction is expected to begin in early 1999"
