We already have similar in Sydney. The Nightsafe area is marked by
stripes painted on the platform corresponding with the last two
carriages of the train. Hassle is there is little or no surveillance.

Probably worse. In NYC, vandalism and crime is way down on their
transit system thanks to some tough Government policy. Over here
things are getting worse.
