This is certainly good news for Melbourne. Let's also hope that they
have something to work with when (I guess if) they do arrive in this
country. The way Kennett has been working the business into the ground
I could imagine 500 pages of "Not allowed to do in Melbourne" clauses in
the contract.
Let's all hope that none of them restrict getting rid of most of the
incompetent management, improving the services, or taking on City Link.
It will be interesting to see what incentitives might be given to WC.
eg: If passenger numbers decline or do not meet expectation, do they
expect to receive a BIG cash injection from the Government?
Thoughts?
