Whatever the problem was, it looks like it also affected at least the
Lilydale/Belgrave lines as well. Last night, most trains (at least
between 5 & 7pm) were running an average of 10 mins late - including city
bound.

This morning, the delays were even worse - my train (7:48am FS to
Lilydale) arrived at East Ringwood at about 8:50 - nearly 25 mins late and
10 mins AFTER my connecting bus had left! Funny enough, the next train
arrived at E.R. five mins later - on time! As far as I can tell, most city
bound trains were running about 15 mins late.

It wouldn't have been so bad (I think most people on the Lilydale/Belgrave
line must be getting used to continuing late running by now), except that
as usual, NO explaination for the delays were anounced at any time!

Maybe they should revert to the pre-Feb 97 timetables - at least most
trains ran on time before then!

Mick.
