QR Heritage Train tests on Standard Gauge

Preparatory to its trip to Melbourne, the new QR Heritage Train (the
"Orient Express"!) is to undergo standard gauge trials on Monday
20/10.

Timing as per Special Train Notice 1093-97 are:

NL30 Acacia Ridge 0550 Greenbank 0605/0610, Bromelton 0631/0636,
Glenapp 0712.

NL31 Glenapp 0727, Bromelton 0805.

NL32 Bromelton 0854, Glenapp 0930.

NL33 Glenapp 0945 Bromelton 1023.

NL34 Bromelton 1126 Glenapp 1202

NL35 Glenapp 1217 Bromelton 1255

NL36 Bromelton 1310 Glenapp 1346

NL37 Glenapp 1401, Bromelton 1439/1444, Greenbank 1507/1528 Acacia
Ridge 1545, stable.

Composition - up to six cars as arranged by QR - worked by NR class
locomotive. [This means that the loco has to operate long end
leading in one direction!]

Speeds - NL30/NL31 - 80 km/h maximum

NL32/NL33 - 90 km/h maximum

NL34/NL35 - 100 km/h maximum

NL36 - 110 km/h maximum.

NL37 - 110 km/h maximum to Bromelton, thence 80 km/h to Acacia
Ridge.

If anyone gets any decent colour pints of these trials, I would be
interested is seeingh some for possible inclusion in THE RAILWAY NEWS.
