I posted an article about the biggers about 2 weeks ago. I quote:

Speedrail is a consortium of Leighton Holdings, Qantas, SNCF and BZW. They
propose using the existing line between Central and Campbelltown (via the
Airport?), then 220km of new line suitable for 350km/h running. The
project would cost $2.6 billion and the journey would take 80 minutes. My
guess is they would use off the shelf non-tilting rollingstock such as the
Thalys. The Thalys runs between Paris and Bruselles at up to 300km/h.
Sofrerail, the research arm of SNCF, estimates an initial patronage of
2.82 million passenger journeys per year.
