Yes, but is there a turntable there still ? The S is single ended and
the B is effectively single ended (sound proofing and so on only
carried out at one end) - the Bs are turned at Warrnambool. Articles
in Newsrail have stated that the WCR Bs can be run from the No. 2 end
in an emergency but Occ. Health and Saftey issues preclude this in
normal working.

Is the suggestion that WCR is tendering for the East Gippsland
passneger services with some option on extending to Bairnsdale ?
Interesting, when you consider that the services could 'run through'
Spencer St, as the current Sale service does.

Why only 301 and 61 ? Do they have different characteristics from the
other WCR locos ? Perhaps the most logical explination is that an
excursion hauled by these two locos is to run to Bairnsdale.

Further to that, what is the status of Bairnsdale freight services ?
I thought the line was disused beyond sale in any case.
