Soon after AN took over responsibility for the Overland, there were
complaints about rough riding by the CLPs on Victorian tracks. AN
actually considered regauging some V/Line Ns, but the PTC quoted some
unbelievably (or maybe not so unbelievably) high price. At the time there
was even some talk of putting the power car back on and using a BL or even
a 700.
