I'm surprised they didn't turn that one into stopping all stations like
all the other long distant runs! This morning (Tue), I caught the 7:38
F/S to Belgrave (nearest match on the standard timetable is the 07:30
Belgrave, express Rich -> Glenf. -> Camb -> Box Hill). On this morning's
run, very few people got on at all, let alone the stops that it normally
doesn't stop at.

This morning, the platform indicators & screens at the entrance to F/S
(Swanston St end) said that the 7:38 Belgrave was leaving from platform 7
(or was that 9?). In actual fact, it left from platform 4! No sign of
where the Ringwood-only trains were leaving from. Also, last night & this
morning, none of the loop station screens were turned on (platform 4 at
least). Last night there were many people wandering around Central just
before 7pm wondering why there were no trains! The screens should have at
least been programmed to tell passengers to catch a tram to F/S (which has
been done in the past).

Don't worry about that, not even the guy at East Ringwood knew that until
I told him the other morning - he only had a pile of the weekday tables!

It was rather strange seeing platforns 7 & 8 at Richmond almost deserted
at about 7:50am, even though there was a train in plat. 7. Mind you,
there was a rather desperate-sounding voice telling everyone to stay on
board & change at F/S!
