The wire do stop at Dapto, so you were correct in the first place. I
havn't heard the one about converting Tangara's to AC/DC operation
though. If they were going to convert anything to AC/DC operation for
the line to Kiama (or Nowra) then the logical units would be the
intercities. You by chance arn't confusing with the OST that has AC
traction motors. If so they were trialed for diferent reasons. Also
BTW if you use AC overhead you don't need to use AC traction motors.
The Perth sets operate of 25Vac, but have DC traction motors!!!
