After the weekend a few years ago when Sydney had 250 mm of rain, track damage
caused the IP to terminate between Bathurst and Parkes. Passengers from Sydney
were given a bus ride to where the train had been terminated and refurbished,
including a stop at the Bathurst Leagues Club for dinner.

A bit disappointing, but as an economy passenger from Sydney, I appreciated
the opportunity to buy dinner.

Arthur.
