Early this morning a Southbound National Rail Crew
noticed a fire on their Train near Roe Creek 19 Kms
South of Alice Springs. The Crew uncoupled a 5 pack
RRZY double stack Container Wagon which had two stacked
containers blazing fiercely.

Fire Tenders from the Alice Springs Airport and Town
Fire Service attended the blaze. After the fire was
extinguished the wagon was moved to the Roe Creek
Crossing Loop and the Train continued its journey
South. Investigators are still trying to determine the
cause which totally destroyed the containers and
damaged the wagon they were on.

Cheers
