Has anyone noticed that the Ballarat East depot is leased for $12 000 per year.
This is a not insignificant piece of infrastructure being leased at the
same price as a nice house in Melbourne would cost to rent.

Also the incrase in passenger figures are not quite as much as Craig has
suggested. 3% is the figure, not some of the wilder assertions that Craig
made & also considering WCR is responsible for counting heads on the
trains & being paid per their own count, there is a certain degree of
questionability on the increased patronage, especially after the police
were searching for 50 passengers who 'disappeared' after the Werribee
crash.
