Hi Poddy

All remaining Loco's and Rolling Stock were transferred
South to Alice Springs by CO-ORD (Co-ordinated Road
Rail) Transport Road Trains during 1976 - 1977.

I am not sure when the final transfers were completed
but I photographed in Darwin on the 13-7-86 near the
Bagot Road Fly-Over an NTO Fuel Tanker sitting on a
short section of the old Main Line. Ten years after
the NAR closed, this was the only piece of rolling
stock left in Darwin.
Except Steam Loco NF 5 which is on display at the
Fannie Bay Jail Museum.

Cheers
