Went pretty much to plan I believe. From all accounts, the J is in
pretty good shape, all things considered.

On the subject of WCR steam, R711's driving wheels have been removed
from the axles by Skilled Engineering in the Latrobe Valley (they like a
challenge those guys, it was a very difficult job!). They'll be fitting
some new bearings and putting the wheels back on (obviously). The
replacement of the driving axle bearings is another significant step in
the restoration of this loco, so it's coming along fairly nicely.
