It seems that a desperate desire to track traffic patterns drove much of
the brief to Onelink - eg. where did passenger A go with her ticket - from
the tram onto a train to another tram, etc.

By they seem to have little idea of how such a vastly-complex data base is
going to be used. Certainly the private operators will want better fare
control mechanisisms, a la London, and less detail in the travel patterns.
