I too lost faith somewhat in using the system after the recent round
of industrial action - I had a meeting in the city at 3:15pm so I
thought hey I'll drive the short distance to Box Hill and take the
train in - too bad no trains were running until at least 3:10pm which
would make me some 1/2 hour late for my meeting.
I drove instead. Arrived on time.
Didn't want to drive but the Met left me no choice. Now with the
disruptions continuing, I'll probably keep driving in instead of using
the train.
