John

Where are you getting your information from re this
"well thought out" proposal.?

Who thought it out.?

What will be the main commodity carried on this Line.?

Where is the 60 lb rail, 40 kmh, overmanned Trains you
refer to at that moment.?

Just for your information, The Chief Minister of the
Northern Territory Shane Stone was on TV up here about
an hour ago accusing the NT Aboriginal Land Councils of
Blackmail over the proposed Alice Springs to Darwin
Rail corridor which was mapped out and agreed to years
ago but is now under claim. The Chief claims that 80%
of the corridor is now under claim and he will ask the
Prime Minister to intervene.

I guess the proposal you talk about will be immune from
this sort of "Politics" that I referred to in an
earlier thread.!

Cheers

BTW "Doctor" if you are reading this thread you started
would you like to keep any future posts to one. I have

"Melbourne - Darwin link" and "Melb - Darwin Rail link"
in my News Reader, perhaps somebody would like to break
us out of this with a WAS: blah blah post.
