Interesting! I personally preferred Comeng sets over the Hitachi (think
about the 40+ summer heat and cold winter nights). Perhaps their
suspension could be upgraded (experienced a pretty rough ride down to
Warragul with them a few years back).

I am surprised that you think the seating arrangement is that bad!
Afterall, not everyone like to travel 'backwards'! Furthermore, I guess
you you don't like the Tangara set either, especially those seats on the
upper or lower decks. Just a reminder that spaces for those seats are
much less than the Comeng and Hitachi sets.

Comfortable? Perhaps not when in the 35+ degree summer heat (and when
most windows in a carriage are stuck - experience this a few years back
at Flinders Street) or <5 degree rainy winter nights.
