Comeng v Hitachi WAS: Re: New trains for Melb????

My opinion on Melbourne suburban trains is this:
My prefernece is for the Comeng. Reasons: Airconditioning, more comfortable
seats, larger windows, more comfortable ride.
The reasons I do not like the Hitachi trains: Windows jammed open or shut, not
enough transverse seats, uncomfortable seats, no airconditioning, wheels with
flats.
Regarding the last mentioned, Comengs are not immune from this, but do not
seem to be as bad.
Question: How come Sydney suburbans do not have this problem? I have yet to
ride on a Sydney suburban that had flats. Mind you, the last time I rode a
train in Sydney was back in 1988.
