Sunday 28 December 1997 - circa 2230hrs - Channel 10 Sydney late
evening news

News report with film of a house fire in Perth where an infant was
burnt and subsequently died.

Short intro video clip at the beginning of the news clearly showed a
distressed woman who turned towards the camera, and when she saw the
camera, quickly turned away in an obviously even more distressed
state.

Yet, when this visual accompanied the main news item in the body of
the news, this part of the visual was clearly cut before the camera
panned onto the distressed woman.

Whatever happened to the voluntary code of ethics about not showing
distressed people after tragic incidents.

A pox on you Channel 10 Sydney!!!!!
