Approx $130 million  actually , which was more money than was allocated to the 
entire Melb - Adelaide guage conversion.
Similar amounts were spent on the Cullerin range bypass and the Mittagong 
Bypass.
By the time that the Hume is duplicated all the way to Albury ,if indeed ever 
, over $1300 M , ie $1.3 B will have been spent , just to handle bloody trucks.
This amout of money would be enough to upgrade Acacia Ridge to Perth with 60KG 
rail and CTC all the way.
Makes you sick
