Ah.... tis sad.

There are not too many people living out on the Trans these days,
concrete sleepers and continuous welded rail have seen to that,
not to mention the "downsizing" of AN. Its all Track Supervisors
and Inspectors in Hi-Rail vehicles now.

I bet there are a lot of Station people p****d of with this,
because the old Tea and Sugar gave them the opportunity to buy
some beef (It's all sheep stations out there.) not to mention
other goods and services this famous train delivered.

That's progress and economics for you.!
