Sadly this is so. There was a sign erected by Marrickville Council near my old
house which said ... "entry to PRINCESS Highway", when contacted I tried in
vain to explain that the word was masculine and not feminine and was indeed
named after some pommy prince (not the artist formerly ...) )-: I gave up
after 30 mins of getting nowhere! There are now 2 more buildings that list
their address as Princess Highway. Oh well.

Not obsessive, just getting it right!!!

I well remember his contribution on matters metric! If only the present
incumbent knew the difference!!
