Alice Springs National Rail Corp employees in an after hours
volunteer effort are helping the Ghan Preservation Society
restore the washed out sections of track between MacDonnell
and Ewaninga Sidings.

Unfortunately for the GPS, thieves have been helping themselves
to sleepers from the washed out sections, and at least one person
has been reported to Police.
