Notice the clean stations and trains.

How can Sydney and Melbourne ever make their transport network clean and
efficient?
Singapore bans smoking, drinking, food, littering, carrying flammable
materials/hazardous materials, chewing gum in all stations and
trains...heavy fines apply.
Apparently the ban on chewing gum was imposed because of someone who stuck a
chewed gum on the MRT doors causing it to jam and causing delays.
