GSR have announced a 3 million dollar revamp for the
Ghan, CEO Stephen Bradford was quoted in the Centralian
Advocate as saying that twenty "additional" carriages
will get a facelift. Most of the work will be carried
out by an Adelaide based company and cost up to
$350,000 per car.
The work is in "preparation for the opening of the AS
to DAR line".
