One of the reasons was due to the likelihood of the trolleys tipping
over, pouring boiling water onto the staff and passengers. XPTs are
not renowned for their smooth riding.

It's funny how 3 gays and 4 lesbians can manage trolley service in a 500
tonne aircraft going through the sky at 900kmph with 475 passengers but we
can't manage anything like it at ground level at an average speed of less
than 65 kmph.

It may just be me, but I think Australian Rail Unions would actually support
re-opening of Refreshment Rooms (yes sarcasm is intended)

As always, no personal jibe is intended to your good self David, just the
ridiculous circumstance.
