If you can do all 4 of these things with ease, then you are set!

AFAIk the course itself has no prior rail knowledge assumed, in fact if you
know too much they don't want you. :-)

The course teaches you all you need to know. (which is of course different
to what the manuals say, and what everyone else does.) :-)

It can be hard if you are a white Aussie male :-) *NOTE THE SMILE*
