ex W.A.G.R. V1213 back in action at Pemberton

Ex W.A.G.R heavy freight steam loco V1213 is back steaming every
Saturday & Sunday until November at the Pemberton Tramway. The train
travels 11km north of Pemberton on Saturdays to Eastbrook siding and a
furhter 10km further to Lyall on Sundays.
Timber is collected at Lyall on Sunday for transportation back to the
Pemberton sawmill. The timber wagons are hooked to the back forming a
'mixed' train. In summer vintage ex Westrail 'Y' class diesels haul
these trains.
For something unique, Driver Training Courses are available for either
1 or 2 return trips to Eastbrook (1 3/4 hr) at the regulator of V1213.
Also footplate tickets are available for V1213 if you don't want to
get dirty.
Trams journey south every day to either Warren River or Northcliffe.
