Alice shunted out of Darwin rail jobs.

The subject header was stolen from todays good o'l
Centralian Advocate newspaper.

The article reported that "Alice Springs has missed out
on the job boom promised by the NT Government" on this
greatest project since the Snowy Mountains Scheme.
(Just love those latter day government bureaucrat spin
doctors and their motor-mouth political masters.)

CR/ANR constructed the standard gauge Tarcoola to Alice
Springs railway ahead of time and under budget without
all this crap about the Snowy, private partners, jobs,
benefits to every australian, closure, etc etc.

Anyhow, the Centralian Advocate informed its Alice
Springs readers they have 16 new jobs.!

Ah well, some of us with some long ago gained knowledge
of railways in this group already knew this.
