Narrabri puts hand up for rail stop

With the possibility of only 14 major stops being made by trains
travelling between Melbourne and Brisbane along the Australian Inland
Rail Expressway, everybody suddenly has their hands up. The limited
stops claim, made by Narrabri mayor George Sevil at this week’s Shire
Council meeting, has already prompted Narrabri councillors to agree to
special representation being made at next month’s Orana Development and
Employment Council (ODEC) meeting in a bid to have the trains stop in
their town.
