[Vic] M>Tram Launch (Full Report & Photos)

Afternoon all.

Last night (27/3/01) a staff launch was held at Malvern Depot for the
refurbished M>Tram.  About 50 or so employees attended, mainly tramways
staff.

Z3.185 was the tram on show, and the new livery and detailing is quite
attractive, certainly a lot better than the refurbished trains.

The first few trams will be named, Z3.185 being "Ron Barassi".

The outside livery is green, white, yellow and blue, with M>, M>Tram and
Moving Melbourne written along the sides.  A plaque on each side also says
"Ron Barassi".

The interior is white, with grey floors.  Seats are a nice green colour, and
detailing inside the tram is blue and yellow.  New blinds have been
installed (see through black material).

The old destination has been retained, and no driver modifications have been
made (with the exception of the driver seat re-upholstered).
